If you've been reading Little Merry Sunshine for any amount of time, you know how much I love music and how it influences my life.
Unfortunately, I missed today's concert at the Lincoln Memorial because I don't have HBO, but I discovered that HBO is showing it on their website!
I encourage you to grab a cup of tea or a glass of champagne and watch this wonderful celebration. It's about each of us and we worked hard for all that we're celebrating these next few days. So get cozy and be ready to laugh and cry and dance. You've earned it.
Click here to watch it now (clicking on the picture won't get you there).
Leaving the world a little better than I found it by sharing my passions and dreams, what inspires me, and maybe you too, and furthering the discussion about how we can listen to our better angels.

I cried through much of the concert yesterday. I think I'm going to be on a 48 hour crying jag. Tears of joy, of hope, of pride, of relief.
ReplyDeleteOne question, though: Did we really need Garth Brooks's doing "Shout?"
Well, no. In fact, we do not ever need to hear Garth Brooks sing "Shout!" Luckily for me, the online version of the concert that I link to above on HBO is only like 30 minutes and doesn't include "Shout." BUT it also doesn't include Will.I.Am. Did he do "Yes We Can"?
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit miffed that HBO didn't put the whole concert on their website. I know that they were encouraging cable companies to let their customers see HBO for free for the concert, but mine didn't or at least I couldn't find it. And then there are people without cable. That concert should have been on PBS in my opinion just like the Memorial Day and 4th of July concerts.
What did HBO think when they bought the "exclusive" rights to the broadcast? That sort of cuts everyone else out of the loop.
ReplyDeleteWill.I.Am performed "One Love" with Sheryl Crow and Herbie Hancock.
